A Stock Token is a tokenized security, issued by Robinhood Assets (Jersey) Limited, that tracks the price of a real public company — think Nvidia or Apple — and trades 24/7 on Robinhood Chain, a public blockchain Robinhood built on the Arbitrum Orbit stack. Each token is a standard ERC-20 contract, priced through Chainlink data feeds, with an on-chain multiplier built in to handle stock splits and other corporate actions automatically.
Owning one gives you economic exposure to how the underlying stock performs — not the legal or shareholder rights you'd get from owning the real thing, like voting at a shareholder meeting. Minting and burning only happens in a set weekly window, availability varies by asset, and Robinhood itself describes Stock Tokens as high-risk and not suitable for everyone. They're also currently unavailable to U.S. persons.
